Getting to the bottom of the design brief through dialogue, workshops and potential site review. This stage uncovers all of the needs and goals of the project, laying a strong foundation for the design work that follows.

What's the story of the space? Here's where we uncover the experiential story we want to tell, and the visual language we'll use to tell it through historical references and stylistic images of material, furniture, lighting and architectural details. At the end of this phase all collaborators will have a clear understanding of the design vision and guiding principles that form the backbone of the project.

The first pen-to-paper design phase happens in the 2D floor plan–identifying adjacencies, flow and major design elements within the architectural shell before developing further in 3D.

The design begins to come to life through the 3-dimensional development of the interior architecture, materials, furniture and lighting. This phase is iterative, with opportunities to refine and adjust leading up to the final sign-off prior to documentation.

Detailed and concise documentation is key to the success of any built project. Here's where we take all of the creative design work and translate it into a buildable set of drawings for coordination, permitting, bidding, fabrication and building.

As the project is being built we can be involved in a number of ways, ranging from fielding contractor questions remotely to being on site, observing and refining as the build-out takes shape.

An extensive network of suppliers and fabricators can be leveraged to procure furniture, lighting, custom millwork and finishes for the project as needed to make the design vision a reality. Finally, selecting and staging art, accessories and decor gives the project that final layer of warmth and character that truly brings the space to life.
